Baby's room

I just finished designing a baby's room. I absolutely love designing baby/children's rooms. I love the playfulness, bringing items into the room that are important to parents and what they want to share with their child(ren) or working with a particular color or pattern. At the end, everything is pulled together, fitting perfectly like pieces in a puzzle.

In this particular design project the parents wanted a room that wasn't "too baby." They wanted a room where their baby could grow, and not grow tired of a particular theme. The parents had found a picture frame tree to go in the room. It fit perfectly behind the crib--making it a wonderful focal point in the room. I really like the thought of the baby looking at the pictures of mom, dad, grandparents and friends from the crib. It really seems very special. On the tree is the word "family" and with that I created artwork that represented that feeling. One framed artwork spells out love and the other one is a story about how special their little one is.

The walls went from white to a nice sage green. The bedding design is circles and the colors are a mix of warm chocolate brown, blue, green and a really bright orange. I created four little circle prints to complement the bedding.
