I was recently inspired by Do It Yourself Magazine Spring 2012, Page 63 "Swatch Watch" where you choose three shades of acrylic paint, tape off the canvas and paint light, medium and dark or vice versa, like the paint chip(s) you might get for a project. Once the paint is dry, remove the tape to divide each "swatch." Feeling inspired, I decided to do several canvases at once to try out different color combinations and was really impressed with the results. This is project is perfect for someone that needs a pop of color added to their walls.
My other DIY project I just completed was an old ottoman I found at a used furniture store. I saw its potential and certainly couldn't go wrong with the $14.00 price tag. I uncovered the fabric, repainted and recovered with new fabric. The theme I was going for was pretty princess throne! Total cost for this project $29.00!
